Joseph Mensah Oti-Asirifi

Joseph Mensah Oti-Asirifi is a distinguished academic administrator and communications expert and a policy analyst. He is a Deputy Registrar and a former Director in charge of the Centre for Business Development and Entrepreneurship at Takoradi Technical University (TTU), Ghana. With a career spanning over two decades, Joseph has established himself as a leader in education management, policy development, and advocacy for inclusivity.

Born on December 17, 1977, Joseph hails from Akyem Apinamang in the Eastern Region of Ghana and speaks English and Twi fluently. He holds an impressive array of academic qualifications, including a Master of Arts in Development Management from the University of Cape Coast, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from KAAF University College, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) from the University of Cape Coast. He is a Chartered Management Consultant and a labour expert. He also holds professional certifications in Competency-Based Training (Disability and Gender).

Joseph began his career at Takoradi Technical University in 2008 as a Junior Assistant Librarian. Over the years, he has ascended through the ranks, serving in various capacities, including Senior Assistant Registrar roles in the Quality Assurance Office, the University Examinations Unit, head of the Disability Supports and Services Unit etc. His commitment to enhancing administrative efficiency and fostering inclusivity has earned him recognition within and beyond the university.

Joseph has been instrumental in developing institutional policies and structures, advocating for students with disabilities, and promoting staff welfare. His problem-solving initiatives have transformed university management and improved administrative efficiency. Notably, he spearheaded the establishment of the Disability Support Services Unit at TTU, ensuring equal opportunities for students with disabilities to thrive academically and socially.

He has served on over twenty statutory boards and committees of the University and has contributed to drafting the university’s strategic plan, policy guidelines, and governance frameworks.

Joseph is a published author, with works addressing legal, academic, and accessibility issues in tertiary education. His writings include position papers on institutional policies, disability inclusion, legal and administrative ethics within the academic environments.

Joseph is married and a Christian who worships at the Church of Pentecost. He is deeply committed to professional growth and societal development, leveraging his skills to foster meaningful connections and drive impactful change.

Sandra Obour Ankama

Administrator

Sandra Obour Ankama is a Junior Assistant Registrar and an administrator at the VCTU-G Secretariat and a staff member of Sunyani Technical University (STU). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management from the University of Cape Coast.

Her professional journey began with internships and national service placements at prominent institutions. In 2016 and 2018, she interned and served as a National Service Personnel (NSP) at GCB Bank Plc. In 2017, she gained valuable experience as an intern at the National Board for Professional and Technician Examination (NABPTEX), now rebranded as the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET).

Sandra joined Sunyani Technical University in 2020 as a Senior Administrative Assistant, demonstrating her commitment to administrative excellence and higher education development.

Born on May 19, 1994, in Techiman, Bono East Region, Sandra is a devout Christian. She is married and the proud mother of two children.
